Mary Scott

Mary Scott has been a user at the molecular foundry for 4 years, beginning during her PhD research and continuing into her postdoctoral research. Mary works in structural characterization of nanomaterials via aberration corrected resolution electron microscopy. During her PhD, she worked closely with NCEM staff to develop atomic resolution tomography, ultimately measuring the 3D atomic coordinates in a needle sample with a precision of 19pm. Her postdoctoral research involves the study of solar materials in two and three dimensions.
