Seeking candidates for UEC election

The UEC is soliciting nominations for interested members to serve the broader user community on issues of critical importance to the Foundry. Serving on the UEC is a responsibility that comes with the benefit of being an influential voice at the Foundry! Elected candidates will serve three-year terms, beginning in January 2019. Responsibilities, at minimum, include participating in monthly meetings (in person or teleconference) and being actively engaged with the Foundry user community. We also seek candidates who are eager to take on leadership opportunities and become more involved in the committee to benefit the user community.

This year, we specifically encourage candidates from the PI, postdoc, and graduate student levels. As we strive to represent the diversity of user affiliations, this year we focus on recruiting users from universities and non-industrial labs.

Please nominate yourself or encourage your colleagues to do so by submitting your name, a short statement (~2 sentences), affiliation, job title, and the primary Facility you identify yourself with using the form below by November 30th, at 12 PM. Voting will be done by all Foundry users in a general election to be held in December.

More information about the UEC, and the nominating process, can be found at: http://uec.foundry.lbl.gov/

Thanks for nominating yourself or encouraging your colleagues to do so!
