Matthew Seraydarian is a PhD candidate in the chemistry department at New York University (NYU). He works under Dr. Kent Kirshenbaum developing synthetic methods for preparing sequence-defined peptoid polymers. Matthew worked at the Molecular Foundry from July to November 2024 and returned in July 2025 to spend the 2025-2026 academic year continuing his work in the Biological Nanostructures facility. At the Foundry, he has used the synthetic methods developed at NYU to modularly synthesize macromolecular peptoid sequences that form nanostructures.
