At 11:35 AM on Day 1, the Foundry launched on its first-ever Virtual Poster Fair! From 80 submissions came 67 posters touching all seven Foundry facilities, plus industry users and prospective new users from around the world. Spanning 43 individual Zoom meetings, attendees had spirited discussions on nanowire growth (Edy Cardona), perovskites for solar fuels (Virgil Andrei), dark matter detection (Jenny Garrison), and much more. 16 pre-recorded Lightning Talks are still viewable on-demand from the poster gallery, and the authors would love to get in touch with you! The gallery will be available online until September 22nd.
Also during the poster session, the User Executive Committee judged ten finalists, narrowed from 40 entrants, for the annual Poster Competition. Four winners will be announced at the Day 2 plenary session, and each will be awarded a $100 Amazon gift card.
